SPEAKERS:

John Pulley – co-founder of ManAlive Expedition, a ministry that is a raw, honest journey into the deep desires and passions of the heart of a man.

John has a passion to create an environment where issues such as pornography, sexual addiction and sexual abuse can be spoken about openly, honestly and without shame. As a former buyer and sex addict, he knows firsthand the devastation to individuals, marriages and communities that occurs when sexual issues are hidden and dismissed.  John lives in Dallas Texas

Brad Kindall – Lead Pastor, Faith Covenant Church

Brad has a background in the performing arts, and seminary training from Bethel Theological Seminary. He is passionate about helping people and the local church find their identity in Christ. His favorite phrase: “when we know who we are, we know what to do”.

 

 

 

Bekah Backman – Director of Outreach, Emmanuel Covenant Church, Shoreview.

Bekah’s desire is to see individuals active in relational engagement, connecting the needs of the local community with the resources available to help.

Speakers:
Carter Staaf – Eden Prairie Police Detective.

Carter works in the Criminal Investigation Division at EPPDH. e has over 21 years of police experience and currently works with detectives, prosecutors and advocates around the metropolitan area in the fight against sex trafficking in MN. Carter will give a first-hand account of what sex trafficking and exploitation looks like in the Twin Cities metro area, and what parents and guardians can do to protect their children from deceit and abuse.

 

 

Jessica Bartholomew – Founder and Lead Speaker, ACT United.

As a former police officer, youth leader, anti-trafficking leader, and parent, Jessica will share some practical advice on how parents and other adults can have meaningful conversations with their children about how sexual exploitation happens, and how their teen can be transformed from a potential victim to a strong and courageous guardian.

Amanda Casey — Outreach Coordinator, Advocate, Source Anti-Trafficking

Amanda leads both online and street outreach teams to those being trafficked here in the Twin Cities, and she also provides advocacy services for survivors. Her talked is entitled: “What A Survivor Wants the Church to Know.”

Scott Morin, M Div — Co-founder of Empowering Ranch, Counselor, Pastor

From his own story of sexual addiction and recovery, Scott offers counseling and teaching for individuals and groups. He has led volunteer teams of men for Wild at Heart Boot Camps both nationally and internationally, partnered with the founder of Truessence, and studied with the founder of National Coalition for Purity. Scott shares about the effects of sexual addiction, what to do if someone you know is addicted, and how to seek healing if addiction gains control of you or a loved one.

Join with hundreds of youth from around the greater metro area in an event to rally teens to action. This is a joint event between Trafficking Justice and ACT (Anti-Child Trafficking) United. Bring your friends, school, or youth group and join us for an inspirational time of music, message, and hear stories and testimonies from other teens who are on mission turning awareness into action!
